Baby & Me

6 to 16 Months

XCEL’s Baby and Me class is a water introductory group class for infants ages 6 to 16 months. Children are accompanied into the water with a parent or guardian, running for 30 minutes. This class offers a great opportunity for bonding with your child in a fun and stimulating environment. Parents will learn basic aquatic safety and have a positive experience with their children that can help them grow closer. Parents and children are introduced to the repetitive movements that become skill building blocks. While focusing on comfort and relaxing in the warm water environment, guardians are encouraged to challenge each child’s skill level. Using songs, floating mats, and toys, the classes are structured to help engage your child and most importantly, encourage fun!

Toddler & Me

17 to 26 Months

XCEL’s Toddler and Me class continues to provide positive aquatic experience for parents and toddlers, ages 17 to 26 months. Creative games are used to teach toddlers breath control, big arm movements, and leg kicks. This is an active 30-minute class that teaches toddlers to start moving more independently through the water under their parents’ guidance.

Big Toddler

26 to 35 Months

XCEL’s Big Tots class is designed for children ages 26 to 35 months who are ready to do more independent exploration of the aquatic environment with help from parents. At this point the instructor begins to prepare the children to work directly with an instructor on their own by using flotation devices, going underwater and getting in and out of the pool alone. The program provides opportunities for parent-child teams to socialize with each other.
